My Kilalaverse Ships

Might as well hop on the bandwagon with this shipping meme. If you noticed at the top, I added a Dislike line, for one ship I did not like.

Do note that these quips on the ships below are my opinions, and I do not wish to start a flame war. So, please, don’t make any big deal out of anything.

OTP Ship:

Prism and Whirlwind

What else is there to say about these two that I or hadn't said already? I love this ship for the fact that it is easy to relate to. Boy and Girl get together, they break up, they grow in character, they get back together, happy ending! Now, naysayers say that Prism getting back together with Whirlwind would render the character building that the two did pointless, but there are many great couples out there that got together after breaking up once.

Does the couple of Corey and Topanga (Boy Meets World), Ross and Rachel (Friends), and Leonard and Penny (Big Bang Theory) bring anything to mind? Hmm?

Love/Like Ships:

Valiant Heart and Red June

Behind Prism and Whirlwind for OTP was this ship. This ship is one of my favorite as I do love the dynamic that is the 'Prince and the Pauper(ess)', where the royal and the commoner falls in love. They are proof that love conquers all and all that jazz. Besides, these two have some of the cutest ship pics I had ever seen. And when kilala finally decided to canonize this ship, I was ecstatic. I mean, honestly, what could stop these two lovebirds?

Illusion and Crystal Clarity

I don't have much to say for this ship, but I do like it for the fact that I am a Dislestia fan (and Illusion looks BA) and they too have some cute pics.

Golden Delicious and Créme de la Creme

The second runner up for OTP was these two. I love these two for the same reason I loved Valiant Heart and Red June, the royalxcommoner complex. And I found the interactions between the two in the pics rather adorable.

Turquoise Blitz and Nidra

Now this is a ship I like for many reasons. One, Nidra deserves some love, two, their foals (namely Peridot Flame) is badass, and three, it can still work in a world with T and Anthea. You see, I think the reason the TxNidra ship don't get much love is because people don't seem to get the concept that when people ships these two, they mean when Anthea is good and dead. And to speak frank (and I have flame shields up), I love these two better than T and Anthea.

Turquoise Blitz and Anthea

Not much to say about this ship. It's cute, it's adorable, but I am not too keen on the tragic ending it will have.

Starfall (Not Listed) and Starburst

The only ship of Starburst that is not on this list. I know Starfall doesn't exist in the canon kilalaverse but to be honest, why not (aside from...certain death of a beloved character in his story)? The dynamic between the two is, like said, they are the exact opposite of each others. And I am partial to Twilight and Trixie, so it's sorta of a win-win.

Fletcher and Starburst

This is my backup ship to the Starfall and Starburst ship. I will not lie, this ship is pretty cute, and I love Fletcher as he is badass looking yet has a very likable personality. And these two have similar dreams, so it is a moot point.

Fletcher and Dove

Now, call this a crack ship if you will, and poke hole in it if you will, but I love these two for reasons I have trouble explaining. Maybe it is because of looks, but the fact these two have very distinct and opposing personalities and I have a headcanon as to how they would meet makes this one of my favorite ships.

Hot Head and Amber Lily and Lucky Star

That’s right. Polyamorous/threesome couple ahead. I like these three together for several reasons…one, they have a history together, two, the chemistry is undeniable, three, I couldn’t find a ship I like for Lucky, four, I couldn’t choose between the two guys for Amber. Please don’t hound me about the Amber Lily mother schematic to the two guys. They’re two young adults, and Amber is…well, hot. Something is bound to happen between the three.

Neutral Ships:

Golden Delicious and Cotton Candy

Look, I’m just going to come out and say it…I don’t care for shipping between the Mane Six. I mean, I’ll read TwiDash and AppleDash fics, sure, and maybe even FlutterDash, but seriously, just because these six mares hang out together doesn’t mean they have to end up with one another. The same could apply to the Next Gen Mane Seven. Sure, Golden and Cotton have some cute moments, but I like ships that branch out of the circle. T and Anthea are excluded however.

Prism Bolt and Cotton Candy

Now, I don’t get the appeal of this ship and why it is more liked than Prism and Dubz. The way I look at this ship, it is practically serving as a PinkieDash ship that is straight. I mean, Prism and Cotton are more or less like their mothers, so them being together is basically getting PinkieDash without actually getting PinkieDash.

Prism and Nidra

Now, this ship I didn’t use to mind…until that goddamn ‘Oh, Snap’ pic went and sour my whole opinion on the deal. Not only did it trip my OTP ship, but it gave way to another ship…the Hot Head and Whirlwind ship, a proverbial ‘kick in the balls’ to my already tripped OTP. And to be honest, this ship isn’t really a ship. Nidra only dated Prism as an attempt to get over T, but that ended up failing miserably…and to think, if she hadn’t did what she did, Prism and Dubz might have gotten back together…just the thought of what coulda been infuriates me.

Prism and Starburst

Like with Prism and Cotton, I don’t care for this ship mostly because it is basically TwiDash without actually being TwiDash. However, as explained in a thread, Prism and Starburst doesn’t really have much going for them. They have nothing in common, and the thing they got was Starburst likes Prism’s eyes…not really grounds for a ship to be build on.

Epic Parody and Cotton Candy

Now, before anyone goes saying anything, I do not hate Cotton Candy. It’s just I prefer ships that isn’t within the Mane Six families. However, I just can’t dig Parody and Cotton as a couple. It doesn’t help that this character was made just because Cotton didn’t have a stallion to be uniquely paired off with. It’s mostly wish-fulfillment at best.

Dislike Ship:

Hot Head and Whirlwind

Now, there are many reasons as to why I do not like this ship. Obvious ones being it clashes with my OTP, and I do not like Hot Head. However, going further in, I don’t like this ship for what it entails. Basically, Hot Head had always beaten Prism at mostly everything, and when it came to Whirlwind, she was the one thing that Prism won and he didn’t. Not that Whirlwind is somepony to be won, of course.

But the way I see it, if the HotWind ship was to sail, that would go to say that Hot Head did win Whirlwind, and that to me would be like a big middle finger to Prism. A ship like this would be like if in Frozen, Hans actually got Anna in the end, not Kristoff.

And it would leave me and Prism thinking what could had been if he and Whirlwind did end up together in the end, only to be reminded that he will never have what his heart want.

I dislike this ship for the fact that if this ship happen, somepony would get their heart broken, and to be hoenst, I love the couples that get back together.
